Balancing work and pregnancy can feel overwhelming, but it’s totally possible, and you don’t have to figure it out alone. At Pregnancy Care Center of Grants Pass, we’re here to walk with you through every step.

Here’s how to take control of your schedule, reduce stress, and prep for what’s ahead (without burning out).
1. Talk to Your Boss Early 🤝
It might feel awkward, but letting your supervisor and team know you're expecting is key. Clear communication helps you set boundaries and adjust responsibilities, especially if your role includes physical tasks or long hours.
💬 "Here’s what I’m able to do now and what I might need support with soon."
2. Leave Work at Work 🧘
Pregnancy already asks a lot of your body and emotions. When your workday ends, give yourself permission to rest.
You don’t need to feel guilty for saying “no” to emails after hours. Recharging helps you bring your best energy the next day.
3. Get Strategic with Your Calendar 📅
Between appointments and maternity leave, your schedule can grow quickly.
Start early:
Track appointments in your phone or planner
Ask your provider about before/after-work slots
Plan maternity leave coverage now, it’ll make things smoother later
4. Think Ahead About Life After Baby 👶
Post-birth plans matter too. Are you going back to work full-time? Part-time? Staying home?
Have honest convos
with your support team and supervisor now. If you’re returning to work, look into childcare options ASAP—many have waitlists.
Also: check your insurance status and talk to HR. If you’re uninsured, we can help you find options that work for you.
5. You Don’t Have to Do This Alone 💛
At Pregnancy Care Center, our free Pathways classes cover everything from pregnancy basics to finances, nutrition, and post-birth planning.
You’ll connect with real professionals...doctors, counselors, and more and earn baby items through our Baby Boutique. Partners are welcome too!
