Fiction: Pregnancy Medical Clinics (PMCs) Are Not Real Medical Clinics.
Truth: Pregnancy Care Center of Grants Pass (PCC) is a nonprofit, community-based medical center accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) employing trained and licensed medical professionals. These medical professionals perform medical services under direction and supervision of Dr. Jon Ermshar, a Medical Director who is a local physician licensed to practice medicine in Oregon. PCC provides medically accurate information about pregnancy and other related reproductive health issues as instructed by our Medical Director.
Fiction: PMCs Give False or Misleading Information About Pregnancy and Abortion.
Truth: PCC is committed to evidence based medical care and education. All medical information offered by PCC is medically accurate and approved by our Medical Director.
Fiction: PMCs Use Scare Tactics to Coerce Young Women Into Not Having an Abortion.
Truth: PCC opposes all forms of manipulation, coercion and strong-arming. Therefore, PCC is dedicated to providing a safe, caring and respectful professional medical clinic where every woman and teenager may make decisions about their reproductive health free from pressure, so that they may make a choice that is best for them.
Services at PCC are free of charge. Unlike those who provide abortion services, PCC does not profit from women’s reproductive choices.
Fiction: PMCs Lie About And Exaggerate The Risks And Emotional Effects of Abortion.
Truth: All information offered at PCC regarding the effects of abortion, both physical and emotional, is based on factual information and provided under the direction and supervision of our Medical Director.
Fiction: PMCs Do Not Protect The Health Information or Confidentiality of The Girls They See.
Truth: Your confidentiality and trust are of primary importance to us. When you visit Pregnancy Care Center, we want you to know your information is safe. As an accredited medical clinic we adhere to strict confidentiality policies and practices meeting both HIPAA and Oregon’s privacy and security regulations. No matter what service is provided, your results and information are kept private unless specific written permission is provided by you.

Fiction: PMCs Provide Little or no Actual Medical Care
Truth: PCC provides medical services by licensed nurses under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician serving as our Medical Director. These medical services include 1) pregnancy testing and 2) limited OB ultrasound exams to determine a viable intrauterine pregnancy. In addition, a variety of maternal/infant care services are provided for women in need.
